Subject: Domino Hardware Migration/Upgrade
Feedback Type: Question
Product Area: Domino Server
Technical Area: Install
Platform: AIX
Release: 8.5.2
Reproducible: Not attempted

Hello, We are looking to move our domino 8.5.2 mail servers to new hardware. I´ve been told I can bring up a new server side by side, start replicating mail files and cluster it. On cutover date, bring down both servers, copy server id, notes.ini, and names.nsf from current hardware to new hardware. Then switch IP address of new hardware to that of the current hardware and it will work. Does anybody have any experience with this process for hardware migration? I have not been able to find any documentation on this.
